Privacy Policy

Our Promise

Naamrit is built by parents, for parents. We treat your child's information with the same care we treat our own. We collect the minimum data required to deliver Vedic naming guidance, and we never sell, rent, or trade personal details.

What We Collect

  • Calculation inputs: parent and child names, birth dates, optional birth time and location, and preferences are sent to Naamrit's API to generate the requested naming guidance. They are processed to return results and may remain in temporary browser state.
  • Previous Hall submissions: name, parent names, child birth date, certificate ID, and selection time were stored from earlier selections. New recording and public display are paused. Previous records remain in storage and are not shown publicly while privacy safeguards are reviewed.
  • Reviews: a rating, optional comment, and the reviewer name entered in the form may be stored. An IP-derived hash is also used for abuse prevention, so reviews should not be described as anonymous.
  • Operational data: request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps may be processed for security and debugging. The retention schedule is under review.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No accounts, passwords, or login credentials.
  • No payment information — Naamrit is free.
  • Third-party services: Google AdSense and site analytics or diagnostics may process browser and technical identifiers. We are reviewing the related cookie, consent, and retention disclosures.
  • No selling of any data to any third party, ever.

How Long We Keep It

Previously collected Hall submissions remain in storage but are hidden from public view during this review. You may request deletion of a prior submission or review through the Contact page. Operational-data retention is being reviewed; we will update this notice when the retention schedule is confirmed.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of a previous Hall-of-Names submission or review through the Contact page. Public Hall display is paused while we review these safeguards; requests about stored historical records will be handled separately from hiding them.

Children's Data

Naamrit is used by parents on behalf of newborns. Birth dates, times, and optional location are used for calculations. Combined with names or family details, these fields may relate to an identifiable child, so we treat them cautiously and have paused public name sharing while safeguards are reviewed.
